Con il termine "pareidolia" si intende (Enciclopedia Treccani):

pareidolìa s. f. [comp. di para-² e gr. εἴδωλον «immagine»]. – Processo psichico consistente nella elaborazione fantastica di percezioni reali incomplete, non spiegabile con sentimenti o processi associativi, che porta a immagini illusorie dotate di una nitidezza materiale (per es., l’illusione che si ha, guardando le nuvole, di vedervi montagne coperte di neve, battaglie, ecc.).

Nella mia ricerca, iniziata anni or sono in merito agli oggetti celesti, ho riscontrato casi di Pareidolia (alcuni già noi come la NGC7000 > Nebulosa "Nordamnerica", altri che non costituiscono illusione ottica.

In tal senso la mia ricerca portò anche ad una scoperta altamente intrigante:

Rileggendo, innanzitutto, quella lista di 5 anni fa.

Sembra essere un caso di Pareidolia, in Astronomia. Somiglia, ma non lo é ..."

[Comp. of para-2 and gr. εἴδωλον «image»]. - Psychic process consisting of the fantastic elaboration of incomplete real perceptions, not explainable with feelings or associative processes, which leads to illusory images with a material sharpness (e.g., the illusion that, looking at the clouds, you see mountains covered in them of snow, battles, etc.).

In my research, which began years ago with regard to celestial objects, I have encountered cases of Pareidolia (some of us already such as the NGC7000> "North American" Nebula, others that do not constitute an optical illusion.

In this sense my research also led to a highly intriguing discovery:

Why on that forum.
At that time I was writing more in those parts and I was interested in understanding the reactions on that ancient forum, where some members are always very prolific and critical (without exaggerating).
Some opinions have confirmed that the appearance of the subject is truly interesting.

Then I hibernated the whole affair, taken by a thousand other thoughts, but today I accidentally returned to that event, I decided to take the second (and more difficult) step.
Rereading, first of all, that list of 5 years ago.
Ok.

It seems to be a case of Pareidolia in Astronomy. It looks like, but it isn't ... "
